Something Old, New, Borrowed and Blue

Traditional dresses are one thing but specialty dresses are another.   The lace technique used in creating the dress dates back to the 1800’s.   That’s the old.

Those diamond drop earrings are new and they were given to her by her parents for her wedding day.   Let’s not forget  they are diamonds, made especially to compliment the Tiara.  The setting was inspired by the Middleton Coat of Arms which include acorn and oak leaves.

What a beautiful Tiara,  borrowed from the new Grandmother, the Queen of England.   It was made in 1936 and never before worn.    Let’s also not forget the halo is adorned with diamonds, no big deal.

Something blue, of course was hidden, a blue ribbon was sewn on the inside of the dress.
